Common Uses for a Xerox Printer

January 7, 2013 Posted in: Printers

Xerox printer is not only needed in the workplace, but has now become a part of our everyday lives. You may believe that you only need a printer for work-related documents, but you may find yourself in a bind when it comes to a few everyday tasks.

Travel Documents

With growing lines at airports and increased security, it helps to have your travel documents in order before arriving at the airport. Many airlines offer boarding passes available to print for free at home. This way, you can check-in at home and take your newly printed boarding passes to the airport. Essentially, you can bypass the entire check-in process. Certain airlines even charge small  fees for printing out boarding passes, so you may save a bit of money in the process as well.

Receipts

Say you placed an order online for in-store pickup at a major retailer and didn’t print out your receipt. Chances are, the retailer may not accept your order without some written proof. Best Buy isn’t going to hand you over a brand new LCD TV without a receipt that you purchased it. This is when it helps to have a printer handy nearby.

Concert Tickets

Most venues nowadays will allow you to print your ticket at home so that you don’t have to waste away hours in the will call line. It’s a convenient feature that gives you the ticket in physical form the second that you purchase it online.
